The Midnight Opera Ghost

Inspiration:

The darkness of the music of the night. The contrast of the warm beauty above to the cold intrigue of below. He's powerful, deliberate, and imposing on the outside, yet a creative,  passionate, and confused monster within. 

Creation: 

This mask features the beautiful USA tour mask as it's base. I chose this mask specifically for its bold curves and dominant expression. The exterior features a cold metallic finish,  using copper and silver metallic compounds then buffing the mask to polished yet pitted finale. Then, a subtle gold was was applied to create an unexpected patina followed by sealing the mask for durability and sheen. With a bold interior, this mask features my first use of a beautiful "Prince of the Night" purple leather lining, using one of the softest, most supple leathers I've handled.  This mask features the same spring steel wire that has become the standard for stage use.
